Cranksgiving 2021

Bike, overcome obstacles, earn points, have fun!

The Lansing Bike Co-op is excited to team up with Lansing Bike and Seek for a great fundraising event on Saturday, November 13th! Come join us for a family-friendly bicycle event. Teams or individuals can start as early as 2pm at Turner Dodge house (and as late as 5pm) and wind their way along the river trail, participating in point-earning obstacles along the way. Costumes are encouraged! A donation of $10 per person is suggested. Afterward, we’ll meet at Ozone’s Brewhouse for food, drink and a raffle from 6-10p. Ozone’s has generously offered the first two drinks at half price for anyone who participates or donates to the event. Money raised will help to support our annual kid’s bike drive. We’re aiming to give away 75 bicycles along with helmets to Lansing area youth this holiday season.

A bicycle treasure hunt around the city of Lansing. Organized to get people exploring the city by bike and solving fun puzzles with friends!

"I really appreciate the care and effort that went into planning this event. It was a great tour of some beautiful parks and neighborhoods in Lansing that were unfamiliar to me. The route was scenic and safe, loved the ride from start to finish! Thanks for putting this together and I'm looking forward to doing this again next year."

"Thank you for all the work you put into this! Great way to explore Lansing. Love the route, not too much traffic and got to see a lot of areas I haven't explored before. Will definitely be participating again and telling friends about it!"

"I loved this event SO MUCH! I hadn't done any previous bike and seeks so I don't know how this format compares, but I would absolutely do it just like this again. The QR code/dashboard interface was super easy to use and I liked that the clues made us think but weren't frustrating. And we learned some great Black history! Thank you!"
